Its good to aim for the best, if you are the best though!! Such as benfica in the Portugese league they are the best, therefore need to aim to be the best. Pompey should be challenging for Mid Table in the Prem however some better players are needed this season.

Agree, We Benfica fans don't see things like you do. You don't look for glory, just good football and pride for your club, and since benfica is the best of portugal we are always hoping to win, and win, and win....yes we are in a weaker league, but in that way we can always fight for glory.

Ok I didn't intend to that, but by saying your a big club, generally means in the top 15 clubs around the world! I think Benfica are by far the biggest club in Portugal! Im a pompey fan, No glory hunting fan, a trophys nice but aslong as you have passion for you club its still just as fun without trophys or records!

Honestly you don't have the mot fans worldwide, get that into your thick skulls!! I've admitted benfica are a big club but they are nothing to Man utd, Liverpool and Real madrid. China, japan, pretty much the whole of asia supports man utd, real madrid so you do not become close to just portugal, spain and other parts of the world. It was officially proven this year that REAL MADRID have the most fans worldwide not members though. You only have members!

Let me tell you something about benfica....we are a known club in whole world....and one with most fans in the world....

In England most fans M.U. live in manchester, most fans of Real live in madrid, the same with many others big club....now Benfica... Most fans of Benfica live in lisbon, but only because it's the biggest city of portugal, 'cause if you go to Algarve there are also lot of fans of Benfica, even Porto...This happens not only in portugal. We have 14M fans worldwide

mate I agree benfica are a bigger club!, im a pompey fan whatever league, players, manager. I was arguing that benfica's fanbase is alot smaller than Man utd, Barcelona and Real madrid.
