Do they really "filter the wastes from the blood" or do they
1). filter red blood cells, larger proteins like albumin (glomerular filtration)
2). reabsorb goodies like glucose, amino acids (tubular reabsorption)
3). secrete wastes (tubular secretion)...
i.e. in effect purposefully "FAIL to filter" wastes from the blood, allowing them to LEAVE by means of the urine which forms from the filtrate?
