Spanish painter Francisco de Goya, who dealt with themes like Religon/Mythology, War, grotesque, portraiture, and etc. Influencing various subsequent artists like Manet and Picasso.

Music is "Lay of the Land" by The Fall. (Or "Mark E. Smith and various musicians that're currently in his favour")

  • My favourite painting by Goya may be the "Two elders having soup".

    Isn't what I hear The Fall? :-)

    Do you study Arts?

  • I like most of his 'Blacl Paintings' they have a ominous mystique, and subtle horror.

Yeah it's "Lay of the Land" off "The Wonderful and Frightening World of The Fall".

I'm currently doing a Art Foundation course at my college. Then I might do Illustration in Uni.

  • The music is crap. Three cords over and over, and over..........typical of the music today. How about some pink ffloyd or something that exudes a feeling of utter despair to go with the well, utter despair, (not just insanity) exhibited by the poor soul that painted it.

  • piktori me i madh realist i Spanjes,Frasisko De Goja, keto jane pikturat nga KAPRICOT,,,MAHAT ne ballkon,VIGANI,po ketu eshte dhe Kaetana De Alba,e dashura e tij....

  • Hope you don't become like my Art Teacher... He really knew A LOT of classical art, but he hated so much XX century that he just skipped it as if it never happened. lol!

  • Thanks, happy at least you liked it. (kind of expect most people to turn it down/mute it,... which would ruin the whole presentation)

  • lol, well i liked it. I admit it is a bit odd (at the start), but i like that sort of thing.

I think it goes well with the pics quite well

  • Most of Goya's "Black Paintings" were done near the end of his life. They were mostly references to ancient mythology, etc.

(By the way how'd you find the music? I wondered if people would find it a bit too unaccessible...)

  • Gunna say... those were my fav :P

    Ah the sicker the better

  • Gotta love the pan-Goth styling of Goya's "grotesque" images, and I knew it suited the abrasive screeching of the guitars, in this track.
