What the heck, here's another special, 2 in a day...

You can purchase this yirdaki in the iDIDJ Store:

http://www.ididj.com.au/store/fine_didjeridus.html

This is a kick-arse powerful, loud, very responsive yirdaki made by Djali Ganambarr, who first came to our attention in the 1990s with his brilliant work. But for some reason Djali dropped off the yirdaki radar with personal struggles and other issues. We are pleased to see him re-emerge recently with a fresh start in life, making yirdaki as well as helping to run the eco-tourism business at Bawaka outstation with his nephews. He is a full-uncle to Nalkuma Burarrwanga, who toured Korea in 2006 with Djakapurra and M*lk*y'.

Djali himself has toured internationally as a dancer and yirdaki player. His style of yirdaki playing is anchored in the 'old ways'. He is a personable happy-go-lucky man and someone we are delighted to help promote!

The instrument itself... heaps of back pressure, strong powerful acoustics, the sort of instrument where the more you push, the more you get out. Wonderful 'acoustic elasticity' and excellent depth. Difficult to fault this instrument on any count. A fast loud instrument that will suit the traditional purist.
