The bay bridge passes over Yerba Buena island. Treasure Island is a man-made island connected to Yerba Buena.

Yes, I agree that it looked huge. I was watching a little uphill from the corner or le roy and virginia. The clouds of smoke illuminated by the orange glow of the fire were very beautiful although tragic.

Happened to be near Crissy Field last night around 9:30pm and saw this. Went over to the SF marina to get a better look. Almost looked like a plane had crashed on the island.
