It's not about new faces, it's about the changing dynamics. Already the TV of the 1970s and 1980s is history, never to return. "Hit Shows" of the future will have half the ratings (at best) of canceled disasters of the past. Melissa and her concept fit right in with that past, while Jeffrey's concept was ripe for the future.

I disagree. It seems to me the more new faces they bring in, with the exception of Guy Fietti and possibly Melissa, the rest are annoying to watch.

What gets me is the future -- the near future -- isn't TV. Already TV is a mere shadow of it's former self, with a "Top Rated" show getting millions fewer viewers than Gilligan's Island did when it was canceled. Their choice of Melissa looked backwards towards a long dead past instead of forward to web delivery & direct marketing revenues (as opposed to advertisement dollars). FIRE MANAGEMENT ALREADY. You're kissing revenues good bye!

The food network is run by dinosaurs. They need to tie up their top management and force them to leave the 1970s behind.
