@maramara123 I downloaded the ISO and run it in Virtualbox (see my vids). It's only a browser now... Hopefully they make so more things avaible.

@jeroeniskoning You really think it's a WOW? I don't, Chrome (FAST BROWSER!) was a WOW release.... But Chrome OS? No, I personally think noone wants this on it's netbook/smartbook/pc.

@afoaa Apple won't release somthing like that, and then you HAVE to buy music from iTunes or upload your own music (NOT A GOOD IDEA). And Flash and webapps also use a lot of RAM and VRAM if you play games with it! So it will just fail, I was hoping that Google was just making an Android version for Netbooks, it would be so much better.

Are you serious? Google Chrome has not made it significantly into the browser market? Google chrome community has grown to over 60 million users even without addons and customizations. Now that the skins and addons had been added, Chrome community will most likely explode.

I'm starting to hate Windows,
Mac is too different, so now I have Linux,
Al I can say is, WOW ! What a release !
But, I don't really think Google OS will own the OS market, but it will make Linux to the people and make hardware and software companies make Linux more compatible and so on.
Linux is the future.

just the announcement of chrome os is going to get many more companies involved with the linux kernel and lots of apps ported or made compatible with linux.
this early announcement gives them tons of time to get feedback, support and shape things up
also distros like ubuntu are getting even harder at work, because competition is coming big, by next year ubuntu will be twice as robust and user friendly as they had initially planned... all thanks to this news

and now Google Crome OS.. i will try it... and if its any good i will keep it and even buying a new laptop with it.... but no more Windows or Mac os for me... linux is the future.... i hate to say " my teacher was right" but its true.. great video... made me think alot of what the future will look about. Waiting for your next....

I'm a windows user since windows 95.
The last 2 years i got tired of windows because of its not reliable anymore.... with the vista release, just made me so mad that i have to buy a new computer just to run that shit.... so i started to look for a new platform... i tried Mac os X.... what a piss of shit... i got things that will never work with it.... that means i have to buy everything new... even work made in windows...well that is obvious. so i tried Linux ubuntu.... all i can say is wow..

If google make sure that you can run Onlive on their operating system, and that they get apple to make a webapp version of itunes then you begin to see a realistic alternative way of computing emerging where you no longer need strong hardware to have access to the best games, apps and utilities. And THEN chrome OS will make sense.
If its just a linux web browser with some hardware drivers then it will fail miserably.

I Dont See The Point In Another OS, Soon Or Later It Will Turn Into Penny Mix, As They Will Be That Many OS To Pick. I Think It Will Just Be Another Linux Just Run That Little To Far Behind
