The Hatfield Sisters (minus Mary who was in Ireland) took 4th place in the fiddle band contest on the main stage of the Chicago Folk & Roots Festival. Fiddlers were judged on the dance-ability of their playing, so they had to bring one or more dancers along. The dancers were not competing against each other. I want to see this group again, especially when they are complete. Video shot from the perspective of the emcee. Sorry my hands were so shaky. The Folk & Roots Festival is the annual summer music blast put on by the Old Town School of Folk Music in Welles Park.
While I'd love to hear the music more clearly, the ability to record that from such an angle that gives a good view of the dancing, is not always possible. Thanks for the clear view of all involved.
