FYI, Walker''s horrendous bill was passed in an un-precendented way in the State and country's history. After 15 seconds of 'debate' the gavel hit, and the vote was passed, 12 democrats waiting to speak in the queue were not heard and a large chunk of them didn't even get to vote! You think it;s OK to give tax cuts to the wealthy in Wisconsin and remove pensions for public workers,union rights your ancestors fought to make law? They cried SHAME cause it wasn't democratic.Everybody get a clue

Republicans will bitch and moan and cry "CLASS WARFARE" if anyone dares to suggest that the wealthiest Americans should pay a bit more in taxes to address our fiscal problems. They will tell you that people making $250,000 a year can't afford it. But in Wisconsin they cheered as Republicans leveled a 6% pay cut at public employees making 5 figure salaries and took away their collective bargaining in the name of addressing their fiscal problems. Now THAT'S class warfare , Republican style...

@starmud2 Collective bargaining for "public service" employees enabled prior politicians to make special deals that deferred costs. Deferring costs is what got the state into the problem in the first place. The state was unable to live up to the deals that they made. It saves money by preventing future abuses. It saves money by preventing future politicians from "spending" future money that the state doesn't have. Unions okay. Government unions should be illegal.

@SurferRosa1000 One of the reasons Walker took Milwaukee County was because of shady union dealings. You're forgetting about the extremely expensive teacher benefits - "The district’s contributions for health insurance of active employees total 38.8% of wages. For private-sector workers nationwide, the average is 10.7%." And then the failure to raise scores despite spending $10,000 per student. Oh, and where's the news about union thugs getting violent?

@SurferRosa1000 FYI it's no wonder with the circus going on inside there. I would have pounded the gavel at 2 seconds. They cried "shame" because they're tools. You apparently don't realize what sort of measures the unions "bargain" for. Do you even know what this bill is about? The unions aren't being "busted" - they can just negotiate wage increases that are REASONABLE (according to inflation, cost of living). Then there's the fact that teachers are FORCED to donate to the Democratic party.
