From the mind of Stephan King, then released on the silver screen in 1983 from John Carpenter, Christine, the 1958 Plymouth Fury, remains the most recognized TV/movie car in history.

  • if it werent for John Carpenter these beauties would be crushed literally.so the main person to thank is John Carpenter. (OO)====V====(OO) CHRISTINE IS AN AWESOME MOVIE!!! but i hate the last part where she gets crushed they went through 20 plymouths to make the movie.

  • @CamaroManTed Wellllll......CamaroTed......no exactly......we would need to thank the master of horror, Stephan King, who wrote the book for which the movie was based. Stephan King I am told, spent untold hours looking at photos of cars, before making his choice of the 1958 Plymouth, for it's "sinister" look. Thank You for watching and commenting sir.

  • No wonder the big three were going bankrupt in Detroit.

They should have kept making cars looking this good.

    Anyway, nice slideshow!!!

  • @eldo59 Your exactly right, thanks for commenting, and have a great day

  • What about "The Car" 1977 that was a pretty bad car bulletproof, loud horn, mean looking, drove through buildings without a scratch. . Christine was a better movie and a better looking car, but “The Car” had its coolness.

  • @wolf9walker Yes.....and no. Christine had attitude, and a personality. The Car was driven by the devil. But, was a bad ass Lincoln nonetheless. I'll have to work on one for "The Car". Thanks for watching and commenting.

  • Yes ,it was only avaliable in the white, yada yada.In the book, it says Lebay special ordered the Fury with the colors he wanted! You can do that!

  • love this car, it looks so pissed off.

  • fuck ya but christine can beat the car straight up

  • Neet stuff but the Fury for 1958 only came in Tiara Gold with a Artic white. But you could order a Belvedere in this color combo

  • That is one bad ass car.

  • I would kill for car like her XD

  • @Auzz1eBMX Yes the car looked great in red for the movie. But sometimes when people see movies they think that is how a car came from the factory which isn't the fact. If you see the begining of the movie where Christine is on the assembly line that is the only red Sport Fury in line, all of the others are the correct white paint. Well at least Hollywood detailed under the hood correctly. The Sport Fury really had a 318 dual quad with twin gold breathers.

  • 1958 Plymouth Sport Fury was a package all of it's own. There was a difference between a Fury and a Sport Fury. The Sport Fury had a 318 with 2 4 barrel carbs which produced 290HP. Would eat a Chevy BelAire in a Heart Beat ha ha ha. Anyway the Movie gave people a misconception of color choices on the Sport Fury. There wasnt any, only one color per year was offered. 1958 was in White only. My Grandfather owned one, I have pictures.
