i dislike award show like that. not because of the gay men, but because all the tv presenters seem to want to do is talk shit about the women's outfits and make them feel terrible for dressing how they want to dress :/ Do the men get criticised much? I don't watch the shows much but from that it just seems like they all wear black tuxes, so maybe they cant criticise one without criticising all or whatever

@whoo689 Homophobia & gay prejudice downplay the cause of gay rights, not other people (that's scape-goating). I do wish that they would show a more diverse amount of gay people on t.v. (they are doing better especially with popular shows like "Modern Family"), but people who aren't already biased/prejudiced against gay people won't connect the negative behaviors of some gay people with all gay people. A person shouldn't be getting education about any group of people from exaggeraetd t.v. shows.

@oddtreenow2 I don't see how homosexual is more appropriate than gay since they mean the same thing. There aren't too many important, qualitative differences between heterosexual and homosexual stuff. GLBT activists do not have total control over the media (Um, FOX News?) and the "social agenda" is "Treat me with respect and allow me to live my life peacefully." I'm not seeing the problem you see.
