Oh my God, this ... this BLOWS.
-
I guess you could say it's like making a copy of a copy, where the second copy isn't as good as the original.

@millenniumfalsehood - It's like watching Spaceballs (or any Mel Brooks movie, for that matter) on basic cable.

The problem here is that the animation isn't done by anyone with a sense of comedic timing. There's too many edits to give the jokes room to breathe. Also, it sucks.

He should know from Futurama... its a smell-o-scope

Dark helmet doesnt sound the same without Rick Moranis!
-
jeje it funny to see dark helmet as a very very tiny person in this toon, cause actually President Skroob and dark helmet are almost the same height XD

well this was a disappointment. actually not really. i didnt have too high of expectations for a cartoon show of a movie. shows that come from movies usually suck anyways.

It is his Mells voice.
If you can believe it, Mel Brooks *himself* was the brains behind it. There was something lost in this new show. It has the characters, it has the stupid jokes (which, if you're honest with yourself, were what made the first Spaceballs such a classic). It's probably because this is, essentially, a parody of a parody, and as such the comedic element is entirely dumbed down to a point that the whole thing seems pointless.

No, it has the distinctive look and feel of Flash animation. Actually, most television animation is done in Macromedia Flash these days. It's simply that many shows, like this one, are animated using all of the shortcuts in Flash rather than fluid, quality animation.
