  • Impossible to describe such great work!

  • This orchestra of young musicians from the Republic of Venezuela, play with a rare confidence that few professional orchestras from Europe and the USA have. Maestro Dudamel and the Simon Bolivar Orchestra have the entire score memorized. Any conductor who relies on a score, is just doing the last rehersal. Dudamel produces an event. Their music education, including Dudamel's was paid by the Venezuelan Government. And, this is its gift to the world.

  • Maestro Abreu: Venezuela is deeply and eternally grateful for El Sistema, and what it has done for us, both as individuals and as a community. Hopefully, one day the world will be equally grateful.

Gustavo: ¡Qué grande eres! Gran orgullo de mi amada tierra crepuscular y musical, y de nuestra bella Venezuela. ¡¡Bravísimos!!

  • Absolutely spine chilling, fantastic, climax at 11.30 beyond belief. Agree entirel with TheVaughan 5. We oldies who love classical music love it even more when we see youth carrying on as we would want.

  • there isn't one reason to dislike this perfect work!

  • I cannot get over just how damned good these young players are - ok there are a few intonation problems, not unusual in an orchestra of this size,. but their shere professionalism is astounding. Abreu, Dudamel and all these players have made an enormous contribution to the musical arts and deserve nothing but the highest praise and recognition.

  • Will be it release on DVD?

  • this is a perfect symphony!

  • @padredemishijos12 Maestro Abreu teaches all his students: You need to have the score in your head, or else you will have your head in the score.

  • Anna Larsson makes me cry!! Her singing, her breath, SHE is so full of emotion! She is being the music, not just singing that!

  • Who was the idiot who disliked this. This is one of the best, if not THE best performance of Mahler 2 I have ever heard! I should know, I wrote a dissertation on Mahler!
