@spiritof78 The Bloodthirster is badass. The human guy who has his cheap spear and charges at a humanoid monster blessed by the dark gods is the real badass ;)

Yeah, he's not gonna beat that Bloodthirster (the most badass hand-to-hander in Warhammer or 40k), shiny hammer or otherwise.

@Guardsmen95 The spear as mainly defensive weapon,used because it's light and easy to master, meaning training and using spearmen is an effective and cheap regiment,considering that most enemies don't have full plate armour. They had also swordmen,halberds and even some handguns in there,which arguably, are better suited to fight such enemies, but also more expensive to produce. Also the more powerful or useful the weapon the harder it is to train them.
