How many hours a week do you spin the hoop? All your routines are this energic? I think your the best hooper ever!

@vetelejos Thank you so much! Hooping is my life. When I started four years ago with my teacher (the best hoop teacher in the whole wide world-- his handle is jlbaxter on youtube) I practiced 2 hours a day every day. These days, I protect my joints by practicing every other day, anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Hoopdance is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

My dear, you are incredible!!! Any advice for those of us out here trying to learn pinch reversals? My arms are getting pretty bruised up.

@opinion8td Oh my --so sorry it has taken me so long to reply! I'm so unused to checking my gmail account. Reverses are all about timing--that's the way to avoid bruises. If your timing is impeccable, you won't need to exert any extra force. To develop timing, practice noticing the rhythm of your hoop as it revolves around your core. Notice the moment when that 'sweet spot' where you make your second point of contact comes within reach of the hand you 'break' the rhythm of the hoop with.
