This is a demonstration of how to tie a bowline knot. This is also known as the "rescue knot" because it can be used to pull somebody from an area where they can only be rescued by rope.
This can be used as part of Bear Cub Scout Achievement 22b or First Class Boy Scout requirement 8a.
