Chrono Trigger - Dual Character Low Level Challenge - Slash

The first battle is a joke, and the second battle isn't too much to worry about either, until he's got like 800 HP left. Then he starts countering everything with an attack with an awesome name. You'll be fine without knowing his attack pattern up to that point (although it certainly helps to know it), but if you don't know it for the final part, you're gonna need some serious luck.

One thing that's a little annoying in this battle is that his speed seems so inconsistent. Some times, he gets two turns between your turns, and other times, you get two between his. The good thing is, he's always slow at certain points in the pattern, so you'll know when it's safe to attack. For example, he's slow when he does two jump attacks in a row, so you can safely attack after the first one and heal in time for the other. Other than that, it's safe to attack when he uses three low damage attack in a row.

I'm not gonna post the attack pattern, so let's see if someone can figure it out. Shouldn't be that hard.

It's just a pity you didn't attack when he got you down to 6 HP at the end, he only needed one more and that would have been real awesome.

Pretty close fight, sir, with the previously mentioned second to last "Yes indeed!" counter. Magus is going to be epic...I have to see how you'll handle his big gun. Oooh, Dark Matter. Still makes me shiver. Memories of younger days...

thats good...Iam glad I got my sound to record so now I have the ds chrono trigger walkthrough Iam going to have to work on that later...Iam gussing a lavos final battle solo is going to be hard right?

I'm guessing one of those characters can NOT be Level 1 Crono in the worst battles.

Yeah, it's not much different in normal 3-character LLG either. There WILL be battles ahead where you will have to use two characters though.

Yeah, I remember. I like to do solo battles in FFVII, but other than that I'm not really a huge fan. However, as you've seen, several battles in this challenge have turned out to be pretty much solo so far. I guess I'll try something else next time.
