Flying my stock Phase3 ef-16 when one of the elevons gave way.
Had flutter on the previous flight. Probably shouldnt have risked another flight.
Will definitely get another as they are great fun to fly. Will beef up the elevon mount on the next one though!!

  • Yes a friend of mine has glassed his. It looks much better glassed. We have had ours clocked with a radar gun at around 115-120mph. I buy my batteries online from hobbyking in hongkong.

  • I'd say should be a quick one, post some vid's when it's done would love to see it,getting into the boat's now that the weather is nice and warm here, have a Traxxas blast with a 20t stinger motor little slow but going to put a Velineon Brushless system in it should be nice and fast after that.

  • Will get video in the next week or two. Glad to hear you have a bit of nice weather. Still a bit cold over here in the UK. Roll on summer!!

  • @phippsa3 cheers, we have a couple with the e flite EDF 15 fan and motor combo as fitted into their hawk, its very quick. we cover ours with thin glass cloth to strengthen the plane too.

  • Id suggest a het 2w 20 motor and either a het or wamotec fan on 4 cells. Its the set up i have in my current model and its great.

  • 35 notes wow thats cheap...ill give them a call..cheers

  • Get your model shop to order an airframe only phase3 f16. Only £35. Much cheaper than foamyjets.

  • airframe only is available at foamyjets they are in the west midlands

  • Have the next one on the go now. Am really beefing up the tail end to avoid a repeat performance. Next one is having a HET 6904 fan and a HET 2w 23 motor. Should be pretty rapid.

  • Ouch, never fun had an elevon go out in my Stryker not fun at all when your 70-80+ feet up and no way to control it.
