For MediaMatters to present this to IT'S ((Left Minded Thinking Viewers)) is an Attempt to Smear Bill O'Reilly.Simply a F A C T ..!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bill is righ!!! The fact that they put this on their site is a hit job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
sorry to say, media matters is right here. But ONLY because, there was room for interpretation in O'Reilly's report. It was a negative comment only because there was room for interpretation for it to be negative. But kudos to media matters to simply presenting the matter...
Beck doesnt even bother to address mediamatters videos of him anymore - i think beck even realizes he is an insane person on the air right now and cant even fight his own critics because he knows how ridiculous he sounds every day. At least billo would fight back because he didnt act like an insane asylum escapee every night like beck does.
A) Well I think the wounds are healed by the fact that there are white people who don't care about "race" (aka ethnicity), and fight for the "black cause".
B) Did you or did you not read the quote? Note the words I put in higher case. She spoke at a UC Berkeley School of Law symposium titled "Raising the Bar: Latino and Latina Presence in the Judiciary and the Struggle for Representation.", and she mentioned "Experiences". That's not just talking about "race" from out of the blue.
A) Well of course you CAN, but you SHOULDN'T. You're not going to heal old wounds by throwing fresh stones at innocent people.
B) Sotomayor thinks being Latino gives someone, not just her, a qualitatively superior edge in judicial rulings. She's buying into the, guess what, STEREOTYPE that latinos live tougher lives and can therefore have more empathy. That's a dangerous and stupid assumption.
C) Bill O'Reilly was being sarcastic. He was ridiculing the people who feared the stereotypes.
A) Yes, I can. It is MY opinion, and everybody knows it. I am not representing anybody but myself and MY opinion.
B) Sotomayor has nothing to do with this. She said "with the richness of her EXPERIENCES would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who HASN'T LIVED THAT LIFE.". You see, she's bringing in life experience, and not just "race".
C) If I assume that a restaurant with a lot of black people in it will be exactly like a racial stereotype, isn't that prejudiced?
No. Sorry but you can't throw words like 'predudiced' and 'racist' out there all willy-nilly. What gives you the authority to decide such things? Is Sodomayor offensive, prejudiced or racist? Name calling like that doesn't help race relations in America. The only way we move forward is if the left gets off its horse and starts being real.
"Hey guess what! I was sitting alone on a subway train with 2 black guys, and after I was surprised they didn't rob me, I listened in on their conversation... I was pretty darn surprised when I heard them having an intelligent discussion, without using curse-words or saying 'ax' instead of 'ask'... I mean, there really isn't as much a difference as one would think".
The intent may be "we're the same" in the end, but it's clearly offensive, prejudiced, and racist.
