  • Scary. Main thing I observed was how the helper (red shirt) kept pulling and pressing mule into position with no patience for the mule to give and relax. It's apparent the mule is soft as he does respond to the pressure, but the man just kept giving him something to lean on and you don't want to do that. Hope it turned out okay.

  • That offside mule was resistant to begin with, and a good one CANT hold a bad one. Did not like that mule's attitude from the start.

  • Red shirt guy was and I'm sure is still an idiot , I'm not saying I could have done a better job ,but it seems to me he ( the red shirt guy ) had no patience , all animals have a certain personality ,dogs ,mules ect. patience is paramount ,who is stronger man or beast ? Yea ,just what I thought .Anyway hope it all turned out OK ,( keep the red shirt guy away from the team ) !

  • It looks like they should of had running W's on them, but then the ignorant public would have really been upset.

  • Mules, horses, donkeys and all do not think in terms of bum first, as the man pulling the mule's rear tried to lead the mule backwards and to the left, the mule gets confused, as most carriage horses and mules never have to back up. I wouldve untied them when they got anxious and backed them up with the reins better into their slots. I wouldve been confused too if someone was twisting my butt to get me to move back.

  • Gypsies are a waste....

  • Can't help but wonder how many of the comments on here were made by someone who has actually hitched a team before. Without a doubt, this hitching didn't go by the book, but that doesn't mean these people are incompetent rednecks who beat their animals. We train our teams to "step over" when pressure is applied. Outside of dropping the traces, I don't see why everyone is hating on the red shirt guy. People are too quick to jump to the negative. They've prob done this 1K times with no problem.

  • The red man should not be working with horses, well in this case, mules. Because he oviously doesn't know how to handle them properly! People like that piss the fuck out of me...

  • haha

  • Mules did sterling work in the Hell of the Western Front [1914-18] and they were strong and steady, and are honoured by a statue in London commemorating the sacrifice of animals in War..the mules were reckoned to be steadier than the horses under heavy fire, and they are a fine, strong animal in the right hands...the redshirt guy also kept dropping the traces against the mule's legs. doh.

  • yeah what a great idea lets all yell as the mule runs away lol man people these days hahaa
