The Union Flag is upsidedown. The broad white stripe should be uppermost, at the top, next to the flag pole. I'm sure you want to get it right. An inverted flag is a signal of distress, which does have significance right now.

The UK and the republic of Ireland is a mixture of Europeans im living in Northen ireland and would consider myslef more germanic/scandinavian than celtic im 6ft4in blonde hair blue eyes so im pretty sure.

There's a lot of talk on here about the English being completely separate ethnically from those of the "Celtic nations". This is tosh. Most English people actually have ancestry going back to the original settlers. The average English person has a maternal line going back to the ancient Britons and a Germanic or Scandinavian paternal line. Basically the Angles, Saxons, and Vikings invaded and pro-created with the native women. The English are predominantly Germano-Celtic.

Quite frankly, I am now sick and tired of our neighbours belly aching about us the entire time and look forward to an independent England. The English were well on their way to establishing themselves as a major power before the Unions with Scotland and Ireland. English soldiers had proved themselves on the Continent and English traders were making the Spanish and Dutch look like amateurs by 1707.
