Hey all, Nich again, this time with some small updates for FFV-2. Before we start, I want to leave you with a few notes.

#1: I found out how to make my videos have better quality from a Windows 98, but this comes at the cost of frames. Basically, it's not as smooth as it could be, but the quality is better.

#2: This was recorded using an older demo of FFV-2, so most of the game engine stuff isn't what it is in the current demo. But the stuff I'm showing you that's new is the sprites.

Now that that's out of the way, let's start with the changes.

#1: Zeke's map sprite is new, reflecting the battle sprite better.
#2: Mog! If I could sprite at least three jobs as proof that I'll be doing this, Tez will add Mog to the story and job system as a permenent character. I have the Wind Crystal jobs sprited already(Knight, Thief, White/Black/Blue Mages, and Monk.) Oh, and, Mog is Krile's moogle.
#3: This one isn't quite so noticable, but I realigned the sprites so that they blend together like in the original game. I also fixed Zeke's sprites, they had a few errors which are now fixed.
#4: Spell animations. White Magic was designed by me, Black Magic is like the original FFV, and, although I didn't show it, Time Magic is also like the original.

That's about it. See you next time.

  • Who's Krile? I think you might be talking about "Cara". After all, Cara is a better name that "Krile" for a sweet 14 year old girl, plus that was her original Japanese name.

  • @TheGameAnyoneRPGer We decided to use the name "Krile" as it is the name used in both the GBA script (also known as the best translation) and in Dissidia, which means Square Enix has pretty much validated it as the her actual Western translation, giving her full name Krile Mayer Baldesion.

Her original Japanese name literally translated is actually Kururu, which has not been used for the english translations at all.

  • Hey, where's this battle music from? :O

  • @VXRPGMaker "Confrontation" by Ryan Leber. Made specifically for this game.

  • @ProjectFFV Well said indeed for your reasons. However to me, Cara is the best translation.

  • are you really going to make this? if you do, you should send it to square enix, i would totall spend my money on this game, i really hope you do eventually sell it :D

  • @Project are you making a squeal to ffv? like ffiv did? If you are good luck!

  • @nrsisyourbuddy Wow, I just noticed that horrible mistake. Given, not gave.

  • I love the sound consistency, gives it an authentic 16-bit taste.

  • @VXRPGMaker Heh, nevermind then. You posted before mine went up.

  • @VXRPGMaker I don't think there's a download link for it. Tezuka hasn't gave me one, at least.

  • @ProjectFFV Oh wait, I see you have the song already up by itself. ^__^
