The reliquary of Blessed Louis & Zelie Martin, parents of St. Therese, is displayed for the first time after their mass of beatification on Sunday,Oct. 19th, 2008 in the Basilica of St. Therese in Lisieux. The reliquary was so heavy that they were unable to carry it in procession at the beatification mass.
O Sacrum Convivium: "O holy banquet, in which Christ is consumed, the memory of His passion is recalled, the mind is filled with thanksgiving, and a promise is given to us of future glory. Alleluia."
Sung by the University of Wisconsin-Madison Concert Choir.

I love reliquaries. Thinking of making Shinto versions of my own, too!

Simply beautiful! The reliquary pictures were so perfect, including the one which showed their family as both those who survived to adulthood and the four children who died young. Thanks so much for posting this.
