I recorded this twice and then couldn't decide which take I liked better so I have posted them both.
This is a song that I learned from a Vipers Skiffle Group recording made in the 1950s in England during the skiffle craze.

  • Sounds good, Lew. I can't remember where I first heard this song.

  • @raymondcrooke I particularly love the chord progression

    C E7 F Dm A7 G

    C Am Dm G7 C

  • Both renditions sound good, Lew. I think the second one has a little more energy. That Guitaro sure has a nice tone.

  • @cariboubill I have had the guitaro for several years but never paid all that much attention to it… more of a curiosity piece than a musical instrument but now that I can't play my guitar anymore it caught my interest. I am very pleased with the happenstance.

  • First heard this one from Dave Van Ronk

  • Hi Lew, both versions sound damned good to me. a beautiful bit of what I used to call lazy music. I remember this one from when I was a kid. Just the job to listen to on a sunny Sunday afternoon laying on the grass.Ed.

  • @lewdite / Lots of times, when life deals me a low blow, it turns out to be a good blow.

  • That's a great song. Good one for playing the harmonica on, too.
