This demonstration was just part of a special '999 Day', organised by Hampshire Constabulary, which observed a minutes silence in respect to the two firemen who lost their lives in a Southampton blaze earlier in the week.
Two craft from the RNLI's Hayling Lifeboat Station took part in an off-shore display to show off their piloting and lifesaving skills.
The main event was designed to allow the local community to meet their local emergency services and learn more about their work.
The public had the opportunity to get up close to classic and modern day police vehicles, learn about the equipment used in everyday duties, seek advice on combating crime at home and discover the shocking effects of household fires.
@redash2006 Thanks for your comment RedAsh. It does look a bit rough out there!

@TheGovanor Whilst I am not associated directly with the RNLI in any way, I do have a contact with the branch featured in the video, so I will pass your kind words on.

Fantastic boat handling skills. You all deserve medals for what you do, as a firefighter it was a treat to watch you all in action, hopefully I will never need to see it for real. Keep up the good work. Richard
