The visitation nuns accept mature vocations. And no, i don,t believe God only calls virgins. Medieval times are long gone.When God calls,let no man stand in the way!!!!

@usnavymom1958 There are communities that don't have an age limit (indeed I know of one that won't let you IN unless you are over 45!) . There are some things that have carried through from older eras that no longer should apply and others that have been thrown out that should be brought back. why the age cut off ? all of the USA communities have an age cut off....if one feels they have a calling to religious life ...where do they go ? do they tell God sorry i was too old ......i long to become a sister but i have to leave the USA to become one...God really does work in mysterious ways
