  • not a fan of the rubato. at all.

  • Oliveira is a world class concert artist who knows exactly what he is doing. If others played this piece exactly like him..... they'd have a wonderful career on their hands. :) I frequently use his videos as examples to my students, and he has inspired many many others to start choking up more so they can get that sound. Bravo to him and many thanks for posting videos and sharing such exquisite playing.

  • nice sounds for me

  • I think nobody has posted a comment on this particular performance so far out of respect to the great maestro Oliveira; I myself hesitated to do so for a long time too. I simply do not understand why you have to hurry the piece, especially in the beginning measures, so much as if you want to get it over with and get out of there. It sounds as if you are cynical of love. The brisk and almost casual performance is so uncharacteristic of your typical playing full of concentrated romantic ardor.
