  • Hey y'all -I've just posted an mp3 backing track for you to practice your walking bass ideas along to. It's a simple II V I progression in C Major with a nice slow swing. It will work for all of the lessons I've done so far... It's on the lessons page of my website.

  • I used to have this guys instructional video called "Metal Method" when he used to be this 80's hair rocker-type

  • this was boring..

  • Hi Dave!

I was wondering i you can help me,I dont understand how to make the inversions if the chord starts from the A string (for example D7)

    thanks!!

  • Christ i never new Collin Farrel played bass!

  • You've uploaded many GREAT bass lessons...however, it would be great if you could invert the video, as it can be tricky flipping it in your head in real time (to correspond with the view of our own fretboard and fingers).

Oh, and maybe overlay tab showing each chord shape as you play them, as it's sometimes hard to see which frets you are using and which you are merely hovering over.

Many thanks from a novice bass player!

  • gotta study...

  • are those lighter gauge bass strings or am i crazy

  • nice sound and great materials for work.
