Many young people who text and go on Facebook encounter slurs that would probably appall their parents, teachers or bosses. But the youth tell an Associated Press-MTV poll that the words don't bother them much. (Sept. 20)

    The kids can't write a decent paragraph to save their ass and they have no knowledge of cursive writing and they print like a first-grader. And yet they consider texting effective communication. One cannot swoon properly 144 characters at a time in 10-point plain Helvetica.
