@littleAZN248 yes i have 8000kv sidewinder on my rc18r and it is faster but being too much fast is not good when controlling , you want to be able to control your car in the right direction , so i would only go for 4800kv and it will give you longer run time to

fantastic alternative to going brushless and at a fraction of the cost. gr8 work
-
How did you fit that massive 540 motor in there? !!!
-
less weight dose not mean higher top end, just faster acceleration....
-
not as fast as ud hope
-
wouldn't a mamba 25 8000kv be faster?
-
Dude balance your wheels
they are swinging back and forth like crazy
If you properly balance them you will go faster and handle better
-
very good song
-
is it a 1:10 scale motor?
-
it has 2 cells, so that is 7.4v
as a NIMH batt that is equal to a 6 cell NIMH
I've been trying and trying to replicate that design you have, sometimes losing sleep on the deal, and I am still stuck on the actual mounting of the motor plate to the 18t chassis. I have reviewed all your site pics, but all I can come up with is that you mounted in in front of the bearing/driveshaft mount. Any help or tips you have for a fellow 18t lover would be of great appreciation. btw Very awesome job!

that's exactly where it's mounted. In fact, it's screwed on just the one side with a 4-40 screw into the bearing support/drive shaft mount. It is far less glamorous that you might think. There's some flex in it, but I haven't stripped a spur gear yet, just the diff gears. If you shoot me an email (check my site), I might could send you some more pics.

lol, no it's not. I've got a 10T Trinity D6 540 motor in in now with a 3S-11.1V li-po, and it's twice as fast. But the video is unaltered. The conversion process in YouTube tends to drop frames which makes it look sped up, but it's not.
