The flu (H1N1 or Swine Flue) is bad. Most people will recover although it might take longer than from a seasonal flu. The symptoms and conditions brought on by the H1N1 Swine Flu seem inflated, the aches and pains, fatigue etc. are severe.
Random fatalities occur in ordinarily healthy people from this flu and right now a Toronto hospital has declared an 'Outbreak' of the H1N1 Flu at their hospital.
Long lineups, just reported on TV as being up to 2 km long, and wait times of up to six hours for vaccinations are leading to short temper.
The ramifications of this flu go beyond the immediate and tragic loss of life, the pandemic is just starting.

  • A huge tax grab as 35 ooo die of seasonal flu each year! Poverty in BC kills and injures far more people than a high end marketed pandemic. I had it too and it is different but your fanning the flames of fear imo. You should do a vid on the Tarsands if you care about Canada,

  • I agree with you, right now the TV is showing the arrival of the Olympic Flame, there's more money well spent. NOT.

I am not fanning flames, my kids are grown now but I cannot imagine trying to decide if the kids were small weather to vaccinate or not. The equation changes when kids are involved.

  • Question.. Did you get vaccinated for the flu last season? Thanks for the post

  • No I didn't

  • No. I had vaccination once, perhaps 10 years ago so I wouldn't miss any work and ended up sick anyway and missing work.

  • Vitamin D.

  • I forgot to add that the fatigue lasted almost 4 months and I'm not sure if my energy level is consistently improving today. Correction...the double vision lasted almost 3 months.

  • I have been exposed to someone with H1N1. In August I had a headache and nausea which lasted 1 month. Then double vision and dizziness. The double vision diagnosed by a neurologist as 6th nerve palsy lasted for almost 2 months. Dizziness persists almost 4 months later. The ophthalmologist is convinced I'm healing from something that they only diagnose about 25% of the time. I now wonder if I will ever find out for sure if it is related to H1N1

  • thank you for posting this video. i have swine flu right now and it is hell.

  • i wonder how the body will be after recovery and thanks for posting this

  • Humans did survive 2000+ years but more like 6-8000 for some without vaccines and improved over time. I grew up in Algonquin park and Churchill MB and can tell you if this flu was rough on you don't go camping for a week without a car you may really get freaked out. LOL! Point well taken but kids and elderly should be the last taking an experimental 1st ever Canadian adjuvanted vaccine with mercury in it. Thimerisol/mercury banned in Russia for kids in 1980, lots of pro vaccine are stock holders

  • Same here... I haven't been vaccinated since I was a younger child. I'm curious because recently I chose not to vaccinate my children and I'm kind of at a loss for information. We don't get seasonally sick to a point that I would feel comfortable enough getting the annual flu shot. Now I'm thinking NO MMR either! The controversy about the live virus that was found in vaccinations scares the heck out of myself and family.

Thank you for your further input!
