020810 David on Lower SST Wreck

This video is an excellent example of how quickly things can go wrong riding trail. I'm following David and trying to catch up with him after a slow start. The conditions on lower SST were damp in some spots and down right slimy in others which makes navigating the roots and rocks on this narrow trail no easy task. At the end of the video, I hit a wet root and lose traction at the front wheel (which is never easy to recover from) and lost control. The bike went to the left and I went to the right onto a stump. Ouch! I say "I've fallen and I can't get up" trying to be funny, but I really was stuck for a moment. Pinned into the tree in front of me by the bike. I laughed so hard watching this because the fall looks so fast! Bam! Then it's over. -Mike
