The continent of Africa suffers from the world's highest levels of HIV/AIDS infections & deaths. United Nations statistics have indicated the vast majority of AIDS related deaths in Africa occurred in the heterosexual community. There needs to be a recognition that AIDS is a human tragedy, and a need exists to stop stereotyping its victims. In countries where gays & anyone can be open about their HIV status, education has dramatically cut new AIDS cases, and the sick have gotten treatment.

@jlwelch they do have great teeth but fortunately they have much higher levels of aids, lower life expectancy, rampant violence and endemic poverty..which balances things out..you have to take the good with the bad eh?
i suggest a workshop whereby these different cultures come together and share knowledge

"Homosexuality is illegal in 37 countries in Africa" - Yet throughout history there have been hateful people In Europe and later North America, who would wish ALL Africans executed for their skin colour or enslaved. This is no different, I would think that a continent that has seen SO much war, genocide, death and been morally raped for centuries not to mention had their great educational legacies stolen and pillaged.. Would have more respect for humanity and more tolerance for love and life.

How is it that people living in third world countries like Uganda and Malawi have such perfect, white teeth while British people have such terrible oral hygiene? The people of Africa must have some brilliant secrets regarding oral hygiene.

@jlwelch Most of the food in Africa is organically grown, not to mention the people do not consume lots of candy and sugar like we do here in the States. This contributes to overall good health and hygiene.
