The Deafening Sounds of the CICADA In Oklahoma

We are overwhelmed with Cicadas this time of year. The sound at sunset is deafening in our neighborhood. You can't even enjoy the evening outside. Take a listen!

I'm from Texas and when I moved to washington (state) I couldn't sleep in the summer, and then I visited Houston and realized why, There was the HUGE absence of cicadas! Thank you for the sound, I've actually downloaded it on to my itunes so I can fall asleep to them :D

I miss the sound of cicadas in the summer! I only lived in Oklahoma for 5 years, and where I'm living now there are no cicadas at all, but for some reason it's a comforting sound. :)

Sounds like the kind we have here in Texas! But for some reason we only hear this kind around July when the summer's at its hottest.
