A video I took of a Delta II 7920 launch from Vandenberg AFB, carrying a National Polar-orbiting Operational Environmental Satellite System (NPOESS) into a Low Earth Orbit (LEO). The rocket launched from SLC-2W. This video was taken around 0248 (2:48am) PST, about 5 miles from the launch pad just as it (the launch) was starting up.
This launch marks the the 151st (149th successful) overall launch for the Delta II project in US history, and the last Delta II that is currently planned to launch. It is currently unknown what the Delta II is expected to be replaced by.
Once again, I was very lucky in the case of the weather here working out. It was a beautiful night outside and I had a clear view of the launch pad from where I was parked. Unfortunately as with last time, I only had my shoddy camera on my phone to record it and that does not do the launch justice.
