Electriceptor: Speed Test

I wanted to find out how fast the electric motorcycle would go. Not quite a land speed record, but still pretty good! I rode shotun to take the video and also 'cuz i'm not sure i'm ready to tackle the freeways yet.

What voltage is the motor running with? i.e. what is the voltage of your battery pack. That's a great top speed and more than you realistically need for most commutes.

@lessdeth69 Hey there. 118V DC nominal. When it was doing that acceleration up to and during the mile of the highest speed, the pack average voltage (with sag) was 109.7V, and it was pulling (a strangely similar) 109.0A. Thanks!

fantastic! What zero to 60mph times are you seeing? I'm guessing that was max accell, so maybe in the 8 second range?

So that was 109.7 volts at 109.0 amps... 11957.3 Watts? What controller did you use for that? I've been working on an electric moped for a couple of years but have been unsuccessful so far with voltage controll

Man, I really like your project. I owned one of the 1995 VF500 Interceptors when these came out. It was a state of the art bike for its time and now you have again made it state of the art. I wish I could afford to do this project. NICE JOB!

That's awesome man. For my commute of 6 miles on back roads it would be perfect. The lack of noise scares me some. Everyone on the road is blind to bikes, but usually they can hear the load ones and at least know that they are there. Still hat's off to you for doing an incredible job. Looks great and runs great, super job.
