I needed to test my new Cold Steel Warrior Katana so I asked my friend, Fred, (who owns Tao Video and Martial Arts in Austin, TX) to put the sword to the test.

@mandaltby - The cops in Austin are the friendliest and highest paid in the country. They don't fuck with anyone unless they are doing something stupid. We were testing this in front of a martial arts supply store so I don't think we were out of place.

@elliotoblio - This is the Cold Steel Warrior Katana. It is the same quality construction as the Imperial version except without the mirror polish. I use it for practice that is why I did not get the mirror finish. Be careful bro, this sucker is very sharp & dangerous!!! @studiotrendsetter I thought it would be heavy but when I received mine I was shocked at how surprisingly light it was compared to the Cheness and Hanwei I own. The stats say it weighs more and is clumsy to wield but I can swing it in one hand no problem unlike the others. It feels perfect, and I can't believe how cheap it is. It looks much more menacing in person than what I've seen online, especially that over sized tip and blood groove.

I got mine in two days from truesords for $300!! I've got two others from Hanwei and Cheness Cutlery and I've got to say the quality and obvious deadliness of the Cold Warrior is MUCH better for the money. All three I own now are sub-$300 and I'd say Cold Steel is the best even though it's not traditionally forged it's super high quality 1055 high carbon means it truly is battle-ready. I can't find a flaw anywhere! I'm floored!
