My critique on this video was misunderstood. I was just criticizing players who take the fact that they are self taught as an excuse for not pushing themselves to learn more.

When he cranked the line 6 with the delay maxed I laughed so hard I practically pissed myself ....Dave is one seriously funny Mofo! ...I would rather mop floors at a peepshow than work at guitar center and have to listen to an endless parade of 15 yr olds playing chugga chugga death metal riffs on these amps for eight hours straight!

there is no such thing as "natural ability". Some of the greatest musicians and composers like Bach and Mozart have studied under masters and practiced/played extensively. Billy Sheehan understands what he is doing because of LISTENING TO HIMSELF play for years - Billy said so himself.

@sk1972 I think you misunderstood this video. I have nothing against self taught musicians, myself being one. What I meant was very different and I'm sorry if I was not clear. What I meant was to just critique those who take the fact that they are self taught as an excuse for not being good.

@slowmonkey156 well said have you ever heard that the entire musical system is built from already flawed systems. this guy has no respect for people who can actually do it on there own!!! there are those who have natural abilities. does billy sheehen suck,,oes goerge lynch suck what abouthat kid who can play circles around him does he suck, if this guy is so wonderful then why does he have to waste his time projecting his ego on none other than you tube videos.
