Yeah, "MATH" is the only really important subject! You've been brainwashed by the Far Right to make public schools a training ground for a society of Proles who will just walk in lock-step with what ever the Right is spewing this year. Pretty soon those factory jobs in China will come back here, without a minimum wage - 'cause only the kids who went to private schools can get into college and get decent careers. Orwell mis-titlled 1984 by 25 years!

Our high school already had a 95% graduation rate. Then NCLB came into effect and our school was being penalized because we couldn't improve past that point - our graduation rate went down after that, probably due to the number of suicides our school experiences every year. Government, you're doing it wrong.

Yea, the CAHSEE is pure pressure. But when you get down to it, and actually take it, it's freaking easy! People psych these kids out and put loads of pressure on them, making them feel like it's the end of the world if they don't pass, that they end up not passing a generally easy test.

This is so weird because the CAHSEE was easy as balls. Plus we had like 5 chances or more to take it at my high school.
