Basically, I'm going to be playing Animal Forest a lot. I loved the US GameCube version, and since I can't record off my gamecube because of my computer I decided to start doing this. I will record every minute of my play on this game and put it on YouTube. It's going to be a blast.

About the translation patch, a friend of mine found it for me. It doesn't translate much of the game into english, but enough of the important stuff to where it is playable. Since I have a lot of experience I know what I'm doing, and this is going to be one awesome project.

I apologise for the lack of sound in the first few videos as that's one of the golden points to the game. I will work on fixing that when I can.

  • lol @ pspfan for being retarded

can't wait for the rest of the series dkd

  • it's on video 15. have you seen the playlist? anyway, i'll probably add a couple more parts before i have to go back to school.

  • I could've sworn this was for GCN.

    Dang Japan is good.

  • no it's not, but it's generally the same game. the nintendo gamecube version that the us got was a serious upgrade of this game. not as in graphics, but in content.

  • Yeah, I know. I own all the Animal Crossing games (not Animal Forest though).

I could see similarities between this and the US GCN version. But since I never played Animal Forest, I didn't know content was increased.

  • well such examples of the added content to the gcn version include e-reader compatibility, the island, traveling to other towns, more items etc, museum and things like that.

  • THANKS SO MUCH!!! Ive been looking for these vids everywhere!

  • Leeeeeeeeve the link Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @SgtThom LOL

  • @jebug29

I guess that will be a pain in the **** since you'll have to have two separate controllers and memory card inorder to do so. I can now see why they never released this in the USA(other than the fact the n64 was near it's end life.)

  • @dakirbydude actually you could travel to other towns in the n64 version. you just had to use the memory pack thing (for n64) with ur towns saved data and get on the train and do like you do the gc version with like how you go to a blank memory card and travel towns.

  • @jebug29 Yeah I guess so. For example, the GC version of TLoZ: Twilight Princess runs decent on my GC emulator, but the Wii version barely runs at all on my Wii Emu.

  • ... adding even more additional features that america never saw. Including extra buildings in the town, that could be bought, and the ability to go into nooks at night. The GC version, was probably the most "ported" version. Since I can't read japanese, I cannot tell wether the script was changed in dobutsu no mori e+. Thanks, and I hope this cleared things up.

  • Well, yes, the Gamecube version was mainly a port of this game, but not quite. If we look into our history books, Animal Forset was Dobutsu no mori, which was ported to Dobutsu no Mori plus for the japanese gc. Which changed the script and just ported the graphics, adding additional items. Then the plus version was translated in USA and reneamed to Animal Crossing, adding gameboy and ereader features. Then was translated back to japanese in japan and renamed to Dobutsu no Mori e+...

  • @Tr1xR4k1dz13 Well, thid is just the core of the emulstor. It was easy to emulate virtual xonsoles perfectly, but newer consoles like the gc and wii cannot be emulated perfectly, as it probably had its own core. If that didn't make sense... Tom Nook ate it/
