@TheLandOfTears it's a sad state of affairs. but then again marriage, like anything worth pursuing requires effort, trust and commitment. And clearly the quality of people like the one's on Mad Men (Circa 1960's.) and the present-day equivalent will always fail at this endeavor due to their inherent selfishness.

@theQuestion626 Oh man all those reasons are stupid. I say it here and now that I will never get married.
TheLandOfTears 3 months ago
@TheLandOfTears well there's an answer for that: for some it's because they know that whomever they marry is the best they can do, or because the condom broke, or because he/she is marrying the other for money and prestige or because they're so deluded that they think "love" is beyond mere fucking. Getting the picture?

@theQuestion626 Then why do people get married, retarded.

Ah yes. Marriage; the dead and pointless institution. Viriginity, on par with the illusory concept of purity. I love "Mad Men", because it shows just how everyone is using each other, looking out for themselves, fucking others over to fulfill their own selfish agenda. Ahhhh....humanity!

@iamthenerd You really don't know women; they were talking about it for millennia before the sixties.
