Stop sailing standing up and sheeting out!

I recommend a seat harness and longer harness lines. I never liked the waist harness, it gives the sail too much control over your body weight, though it seems to be easier for wave sailors. You should be able to easily control the power by bending your legs, a seat harness gives you that from the start. Then it will allow you to concentrate more on other stuff, like board trim and stance.

You need longer lines dude. What are yours now? 24"?

What board sizes did you use?

where is this nice sailing place?

Needs longer harness lines to let you get your weight right overboard.
Remember that bracing weight against the straps, not the board, will reduce vertical resistance, meaning more speed and more stability. Achieve this by placing the centre of effort of the sail right over the fin. ie, back :P

That is the best example of sheeting in I have seen, in a long time.
I think the sail was just a little too big for you.

Position body weight parallel with the sail's center of effort, not just back as this will change as you sheet in/out.
I hope you're on good terms with this person because some of the commentary was a bit incisive ;)
