It makes me emotional to imagine a world without war. I'm not confident it is possible but Zinn makes me hope a little bit.

Question to answer: are we opposed to war which excludes defensive? If so then you need to DEFINE "defensive." If you are opposed to any war(killing) in any shape, way, or form, then indeed you shall put a smile on many evil (and demon) faces. Enjoy the "new world leader" when he comes (may that be in a form of a new Hitler or a deceiver slowly taking away rights/privileges) .

My view: if you go to war, the side which shows the most peace, is most deserving, and should make it's self heard!

maybe one day "Utopian" views like this will not be laughed at, but considered as a serious possibility.. when enough people stop laughing and analyze what 'benefits' a war has for us, the citizens, and realize aside from the subsidization of fear of some oppressors over seas, theres nothing to be gained and much much to lose.
