François-Henri de Virieu is the name of the person in this video.

The creator of the "moment of truth" has died at age 65.

Clearly, the journalist François-Henri de Virieu was popular with politicians. Death at 65 of the host of The Hour of Truth as the result of pancreatic cancer, on the night of Sunday to Monday, triggered an avalanche of news moved. In the order of protocol state: Jacques Chirac, President of the Republic, welcomed "the memory of this great journalist with the requirement and professionalism were recognized and appreciated by all" Prime Minister Lionel Jospin stressed that "Politicians are indebted to him for consideration and dignity that he gave to the review of public affairs, preferring the time of the debate to the illusions of the news show," and finally, to Catherine Trautmann, Minister of Culture and Communication, "we lose a friend and a great professional public information." Not to mention the homage of Valery Giscard d'Estaing. Familiar policy. This unanimity is not just for the occasion. François-Henri de Virieu was familiar with the political, of his men. Not only because they served his show in 1982 to stage overexposed, but also because it became one of their own (without label), by accessing the City Council Marly-Le-Roi (Yvelines) in the last election municipal governments. It was at his constituents that he wished to reserve the premiere of the public announcement of his illness. In a "chronic" published in May in the News Bulletin of Marly, entitled "I owe you the truth," he revealed his "cancer ... one of the toughest that are "directly" without going through all the intermediate distort the realities. " Was he talking about journalists? Chances are. This former employee of the World (1958 to 1969), editor of the ORTF (until 1973) and Le Nouvel Observateur (until 1977), Le Matin de Paris (until 1981), and Finally, news director of Antenne 2, before creating the moment of truth, boasted to warn against the influence of media on politics. Through his book "The mediacracy" (1990), he was concerned that "the media system has become an organizing principle of politics" (1). And define the mediacracy as those who "acquire power they would not have without the media" ("Michael Black, The Pen"). For him, the speeches of politicians was "much more professional." "They sometimes make me think of growing cattle in lairage area concrete" (2), and regretted the Officer of Agricultural Merit and a graduate of the Ecole Supérieure d'Agriculture d'Angers. "Mediacracy." But then, the slayer of mediacracy was also the one who took an active part in the system. "Francois-Henri is one that defines and is mediacracy mediacracy itself," he recalled precisely Alain Duhamel, another "mediacracy" during a face-to-face published by Liberation (1). Indeed, it was the one who invited six times Jean-Marie Le Pen in the moment of truth. "If I do not invite the people who make good scores on the ratings, the Tapie or Le Pen, he acknowledged, I do not maintain my average audience" (2). The theorist mediacracy was also called as a witness in the "case Botton," in February 1995 about a "sponsorship" provided by the businessman in Lyon football club Marly-Le-Roi, which he was president. At trial, François-Henri de Virieu greeted "his friend Botton, a man of heart and happy guest." But he always denied the charges of "systematic agreement" with him. His funeral will be celebrated Thursday at 15 hours in the church of St. Vigor de Marly-le-Roi (Yvelines). He was buried the next day, Friday, Virieu (Isère), close to the family castle.

  • I speak and understand french. The translation checks out. But i dont know if this guy is actually legit.

  • Sombody needs to verify the translation is correct to start. I think C2C am or Project Camelot needs to find this guy and track him down about this. Its hard to prove if this is real but its worth investigating.
