It makes sense, you want to keep zerglings from surrounding you so you throw force field up on your army so you take less damage but still deal damage with your ranged units. I'm a diamond toss and I do this against lings all the time.

u know whats the worst uses of forcefield? accendetly use it when u got plenty of zealot on ur ramp

the idea would have been to use the forcefield to cut damage but he could have done a much better placement of the force field

@TeamFTKOTK And if your attention is elsewhere or you're willing to trade units because you're ahead in tech, eco or production then this is a perfectly reasonable response. Toss lost 2 units in that exchange vs the however many lings that died.
