"Let's do it." He gave me a kiss and then grabbed my hand. Coincidentally, there was a door that led outside, so we quietly opened the door and then Joe looked both ways to see if we were clear. He looked at me, nodded and then we made our way outside, closing the door quietly and we ran towards his car and away from the church. Unfortunately, I had a bit of trouble because of my shoes, which were heels, so I was slowing us down. "Joe, my shoes are making me slower." All of a sudden, Joe scooped me up in his arms and we took off. I kissed his cheek and wrapped my arms around his neck as I kissed him more and more until we reached his car. He unlocked it, opened it for me, put me inside, gave me a kiss on the cheek and then raced around to the driver's seat. He climbed in and I ripped my veil off my head and threw it in the back.

"You're too beautiful for your own good. You know that right?"

"I didn't before just now." And I pulled him in for a lust-filled kiss. We pulled away and he turned the car in reverse. He pulled out of his spot, sped off towards the exit gates and made a swift right and sped away from the church. And all I could do was grin. "I love you so much, Joe."

"I love you too, Amber." And I grabbed his right hand. He held it and gave it a kiss as he drove.

"Can we stop at my apartment really fast?" And he shook his head.

"That will be the first place they look. I have some of your clothes at my apartment, remember?" I gasped and kissed his hand.

"You're so smart." He grinned and then I turned on the stereo...and the CD loaded and started to play.

"They made a statue of us...and put it on a mountain top." The song sang. I realized what this was: my old mix CD of favorites. I gave it to him a year ago because he wanted to know what I was always fussing over music-wise. I gasped and grinned at him.

"I haven't heard this song in a while!"

"Well, I wanted to prepare myself for the whole objection thing, if you were going to have one! Why didn't you tell me you asked the minister to do that?!?! Did you tell anyone?" We were at a stop light, so he looked at me.

"I didn't tell anyone. I didn't because I was secretly hoping that, if the opportunity arose for everyone to object, they would and I didn't want people to feel obligated to object if I had told anyone." All of a sudden, Joe's phone started to go off. He grabbed it out of his jacket pocket and then gave it to me, for the light turned green. It was an unknown number in his phone, but I knew it was Dad's number. "Are you alone, Dad?" I asked.

"Yeah. I'm in my car right now and I have your phone too." I grinned and sighed a sigh of relief. "You know, you guys made this wedding into a madhouse of chaos. Josh is seriously in a rampage and it doesn't help that he keeps screaming, 'When I find them, they both will wish they never lived' and things like that. Someone called the police, I think. Or Charlie is going to take him in as a patient to the mental hospital that he works at. Oh, and your mother is completely furious as well, so that's not helping anything. But...everyone from the family and your friends are extremely relieved...as am I. Tell Joe I said thank you." I grinned as my father told me all else that was going on until we reached Joe's apartment.

"I'll be right back." Joe said to me as he gave me a kiss on the cheek. Dad must have heard Joe, because he asked,

"Where are you two right now?"

"At his apartment complex so he can grab some of the clothes I left there. We're going someplace. Not really sure where, but we're running away together. And I'm not sure for how long. Please don't tell anyone anything. Well...tell Bella privately after everyone heads home or something."

"I will, kiddo. I promise."

"Thank you, Dad. You're the best."

"Aww, shucks." I laughed and then he asked, "So...what was really going on when you two were back there? What did he tell you before you walking into the room?"

"He told me he loved me," was all I could say. That was the main purpose for his objection, to the conversation in the back room and why we were running away together. "And I told him too. That's pretty much all that was said."

"Amber...I'm so happy for you. I knew that there was going to be an objection from him. I could just tell."

"What do you mean?"
-----
Ok, just to clear something up. I did the church based on my church and there is indeed a room by the alter with a door that leads outside. Just so you all know. =)
