I think its a real flight too, i don't see why it couldn't be. Russia put the first man in space, first woman in space, first EVA in space, and the first pace station in orbit (Salyut 1) and yet they were communist. I think its just moreso ignorant people who don;t want to think that a "lower" nation can do what the United States can do to a certain level. Lets put bigotry behind nd welcome China into space, who knows someday we might be importing our rockets from them too :)

@spacevidcast "(that's not their own designed spacecraft" that is a indigenous spacecraft, rocket and everything. Check your history, the Soviets never provided anything more than one or two Scud missile.

well russia might launch a space flight to Mars even before the chinese land on the moon, so why not copy the russians? it's clear that the Nasa's latest spacecraft was a rip off of russians Soyuz technology.
Umm...hate to spoil you tinfoilers theories..but we tracked this thing from the ground. Do you honestly think the U.S. government and NASA wouldn't LOVE to discredit the Chinese? We thought the Soviet Walk was a hoax at one point, same with Apollo, and Gemini...
I once had a guy tell me the space station was a hoax, so I broke out the binoculars and showed it to him one night.

At the rate we're going with Constellation and the rate that China is going with their space program (they have already done an EVA) there is a possibility that they will beat the US back to the moon. Having said that, they are getting a lot of help from countries like Russia (that's not their own designed spacecraft) so it is a slim chance at best.
