I saw "The Harder They Come" in 1974 at the Nuart Theater, it was one of the local "college" movie houses near UCLA (the other was the Fox Venice). Double bill with "Putney Swope", which I recently learned was written and directed by Robert Downey Sr. My girlfriend and I were the only white people in the theater and THTC was like riding a rocket. This Toots scene was and remains my absolute favorite. Still feel the wonder Jimmy Cliff showed peering from the control room into the booth.

@dobrotnik I know there's always been a discrepancy in the story, but in a book that I read that just came out of couple months ago about the history of ska states that it was Tosh :P
