@tablesaltcd Their guitar tone is fucking horrible, it's so trebly, like an icepick in the ear. But I think that is more of an issue of his amp settings and the like rather than the recording budget. I love the band, but honestly I don't understand how they can have such amazing guitar tone and such terrible guitar tone simultaneously.

i love them so much they are fucken great musicians and i agree with joshhomeslice this album has old stuff mixed with new stuff u can tell by the style of the songs

Been with darkest hour since the early days, and this album is alot lighter I would say in terms structure and technicality. Im almost postive some of the songs were leftovers from the previous guitarist but they used it. this album is like a blend with a new style mashed in it. I look forward to hear their next album once their sound is more unified.
