When i saw Woods in San Francisco on the Pain and Piss tour I asked David Gold Why he Deleted this video. He told me the reason was because the band line up is completely different, cause theres all new members in the band. Thats why he took it off. RIP I love you David Gold... God i wish you were still with us, it makes me so sad:(

@saultmetalscene So sad to realize I will never watch them live.

@MaRtimewaster I doubt he was rejecting it, as they still played old material live (including "Your Ontario Town Is A Burial Ground" and "Distractions of Living Alone" from "Woods III") and sold older CDs. This new doomier sound was definitely his focus and direction over the last few years though, and I can see why he'd want to downplay some older material as a result. I agree though, I appreciate and enjoy all of his music!

Hoping that he didn't delete this to "reject" Woods of Ypres' old style.
I love all WoY albums, I appreciate all DG's steps in musical career .

@inn3rf3ars That makes sense, knowing how doom-inspired that the last two albums were. I figured it had to be something along those lines, especially with "The Northern Cold" not being in the 2008-2011 setlists, but this is a very nice song & video that should be seen. Old Woods of Ypres is still Woods of Ypres, and David was a great musician! Thanks for the coment!

@saultmetalscene Sorry if my english is not really good but like a year ago (or more ,just before the release of i was buried video ) i asked directly to David what happened to the northern cold video and he said he deleted it because it was the old woods of ypres , the old sound of the band .
WTF!!!! I missed this video!
RIP David Gold.

I was lucky enough to see David a bunch of times here in Canada with both Woods of Ypres and Gates of Winter, and it's definitely a bummer that we can't see him live again. His talent is definitely missed!
